I am so excited to share this podcast episode with you. I was honoured to be on the Homefront Girl® Podcast with Gaby and I loved hearing about her journey in life, work, motherhood and more. In this episode we talk about my life, history and feeling fear yet still doing it anyway. What a wonderful experience!
- A life without risk is a life without reward
I can’t be one of those people who won’t take risks, meet new people or try new things because of fear. It’s a waste. Who wants to live a life where you don’t try things? I want to look at myself in the mirror and see a person who did everything they could do in their power, and that is what I achieved today.
- Risks lead to growth, wisdom, and more fulfilment
In my life I have tried many things, and sometimes I have failed. Fear is the only thing that has ever prevented me from taking new risks. It’s always been fear of what people will think or say about me if the new risk doesn’t work out. Either way I can’t live a life with regrets; so I’m going to finally take that leap and not let fear dictate my decisions in life.
- We are all too often perfectionists who don’t want to make mistakes
I am a person who will live without regrets, and this will be accomplished by taking risks. Sometimes you have to think about what’s more important, the lifetime of regret you will feel if something doesn’t work out or actually doing it and allowing yourself to enjoy the experience.
I had a fantastic day with Gaby today! It was great just being in her presence! She also made me realize that making mistakes is how we grow as individuals. And who doesn’t want to be a beautiful butterfly?
- No one gets it right all the time, so when someone says “you’re perfect the way you are” they don’t know what they’re talking about, you need to work on improving in all areas of life and never give up!
Thank you for inspiring me today and thank you for allowing me into your home and heart Gaby. You are a wonderful woman with kind eyes and I’m so grateful to have met you and have had time interviewing you myself too.

Avoiding scary things means you’re missing out on the opportunity for growth and understanding. Life is too short to not try new things!
This is a reminder that it’s ok to feel scared in life. It doesn’t mean you should stop doing what you do or being who you are – instead use it as motivation!
If fear has been stopping you from doing what you want to do, ask yourself what the reward is? Why are you avoiding that scary thing? If we don’t take risks then we’ll never know how the outcome could have been. Live without regrets!
Trying new things will always be scary and will never be easy. The only way to get through them is by feeling them, seeing them and making things happen.
